The 7th Intra-Dojang Taekwondo Competition was successfully held on the occasion of Jaishidewal Youth Club’s 33rd Anniversary.

Kathmandu: The 7th Intra-Dojang Taekwondo Competition 2083, organized by Jaishidewal Youth Club in collaboration with Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 21, was successfully held at Jaishideval, Kathmandu, on the occasion of the club’s 33rd anniversary.

A total of 120 athletes participated in the one-day competition across various categories. Mr. Saurav Thapa was declared the Best Male Player, while Ms. Abhushree Silwal was declared the Best Female Player for their outstanding performances in the competition.

The chief guest of the program, Mr. Navin Manandhar, Spokesperson of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Ward No. 17 Chairperson, appreciated the club’s contribution to the development of the social, cultural, and sports sectors. He expressed his commitment that Kathmandu Metropolitan City will continue to provide its support and cooperation for the development and promotion of sports in Nepa

The special guest of the program, Mr. Prakash Khadgi, Vice President of the Bagmati Province Taekwondo Association, stated in his remarks that the support and cooperation provided by Kathmandu Metropolitan City and its respective Ward Offices have made an invaluable contribution to the advancement and development of the sports sector in Nepal.In his address, Mr. Rajesh Prajapati, President of Jaishideval Youth Club and Founder of Jaishideval Taekwondo Dojang, explained the objectives of the competition. He further announced that the athletes who successfully win medals in this competition will be given an opportunity to participate in an international competition to be held in Chitwan, following an additional selection event. The club will bear the entire cost of participation for the selected athletes.The closing ceremony of the competition was attended by officials from the Nepal Taekwondo Association, officials from the Bagmati Province Taekwondo Association, distinguished personalities from various sectors, office bearers and executive committee members of Jaishidewal Youth Club, club members, athletes’ parents, and local residents. The event witnessed a significant and enthusiastic presence of participants and well-wishers.

Since its establishment, the club has been actively engaged in social initiatives, preservation and promotion of local culture, and encouraging young people to participate in sports and social activities. The club has also been continuously organizing various programs aimed at the development of Taekwondo and enhancing the skills and capabilities of athletes
